The "Feira Nacional do Cavalo" is considered the most important horse event in Portugal.

The city of Golegã is also called “The Capital of the Horse” and the fair is visited by thousands of horse lovers from all over the country and the world, not only to celebrate the horses and the yearly get together but also to enjoy the local cuisine, Portuguese wines and unique atmosphere.

Individual arrivals and regular Dressage and/or Portuguese Equitation with Introduction to Working Equitation program at Escola de Equitação de Alcainça until Thursday, October 31, 2024 (inclusive) following our regular itinerary with one or 2 riding lessons per day.

Friday, November 01, 2024 - Golegâ Experience

• Breakfast at Escola de Equitação de Alcainça and transfer to Golegã in the morning (approx. 100 km)
  
  
• Visit of the Horse Fair (individually or guided); breeders exhibition, shopping opportunities, shows, etc.
  
  
• Observation of the Working Equitation National Cup Part 1: Dressage Test at 14:00 (*preliminary program)
  
  
• Golegã carriage ride experience with in the capital of the horse and the showground with a Gijinha stop ( approx. 120 min in groups of 1-4 passengers)
  
  
• Return transfer from Golegã to Alcainça at the end of the day (approx. 100 km) 
  
  
• Dinner at Escola de Equitação de Alcainça.
