The "Feira Nacional do Cavalo" is considered the most important horse event in Portugal.

The city of Golegã is also called “The Capital of the Horse” and the fair is visited by thousands of horse lovers from all over the country and the world, not only to celebrate the horses and the yearly get together but also to enjoy the local cuisine, Portuguese wines and unique atmosphere.

Golegã Experience Day

Flexible day during the week depending on program/weather

• Breakfast at the school and transfer to in the morning Golegã (approx. 100 km)

• Visit of the Horse Fair (individually or guided); breeders exhibition, shopping opportunities, shows, etc.

• Golegã carriage ride experience with in the capital of the horse and the showground with a Gijinha stop ( approx. 120 min)

• Return transfer from Golegã to Alcainça at the end of the day (approx. 100 km)

• Dinner at the school
